If one so desire

Dear Supporters of the New Order Football Regime,

It seems ages since a Newsletter has come out on the internet.  I have had loads of them in my head but getting them down is another issue entirely.  I would not mind a guest writer to try this trade every now and then if one so desire which means if you have something to say, outside of a match report, feel free to let me know.  I won't bite.

But now, at this time, I feel an appropriate amount of time has passed since the passing of our good friend, Howard Silverfarb, in December 2007 and now it is time to get the News going again as he would appreciate that.

 Now here are the headlines:

The Mighty Wanderers Overcome the Magnificent Vikings 7-4:  Rumours of a potential 3 point infraction by Wanderers manager, Max Belli, to be investigated by JIFL League Committee...
Feb. 29th, 2008 - The Wanderers and the Vikings met in another hotly contested bout Wednesday evening at ISCI where the Wanderers came out top after league goalscoring leader, Hernan Miguel, scored 5 goals while Manny netted the other two.  Your Hero was named Man of the Match for the first time all season but unbeknownst to Manager, Max Belli, he had inadvertantly thrown injured goalskeeper Husein on the playing field at the same time as Tommy Ambon for a 10 minute spell at the end of the game in direct viloation of the league rules.  Vikings have refused to pursue the matter so the JIFL League Disciplinary Committee has set a midnight meeting to investigate the action and give a ruling within 7 days.

The Mighty Wanderers are Bankrupt as of Wednesday, Feb. 27th, 2008: Cries club treasurer Matteo...
Feb. 27th, 2008 - In dire need of a sponsor, the 4 or 5 time league champion (I can't remember how many anymore) / 5 time JIFL Arnold Van Der Veen Cup Champion and 3 time Knudder 6-a-side Champs have run out of wood.  Matteo sent the Finance Report for the Wonderers (sp.) and Max said, here is the IVECO logo from Alberto who is sponsoring our new kits (and as everybody has seen already the Tottenham replicas sent by Timo from Malang looked terrible and made us look like fatter old fellers than we actually are.  So perhaps the 'Wonderers' as Matteo pronounces us may soon look good in all black kits but will still be wondering how they are gonna pay the field rental and, out of old tradition, still slip Tommy a fiver for showing up.

The Sky Blue Army, BuGils F.C., Rise from the Depths of Relegation to within a UEFA Cup Birth during 2008:  Rise Boys Rise!
Feb. 26th, 2008 - The BuGils kommando has started a rampant run through the league as Lens ter Wee proves his credentials as a natural leader of men and a fine run at the JIFL 2008 Manager of the Year (which I am sure he would get if he and his Dutch consortium of restaurants would sponsor the World Cup 6'ers event March 29th, Saturday at ISCI).

FC D's Place Lead the JIFL by 2 Points:  'Games-in-hand' skew the reality
Feb. 24th, 2008 - FC D's Place currently leads the current title holder Wanderers by 2 points but the have played 2 more matches as well... so the lead may be temporary at best (for the moment).

The Magnificient Vikings Trounce League Leaders JIS 6-2 in a the Wednesday night Smash-up:  Arsenal Gappers run the show
Feb. 21st, 2008 - See attached match report.  But rumor has it that the new Arsenal Gapper Coaches, Jack Ironside & John Olaleye are starting to come into their own and recall some of that fine skill and abilities that they learned as young players in the Arsenal coaching system.  The deal was that Marvin would allow me to have to two coaches from Aresnal England if I would agree to let them play for the Magnificient Vikings rather than the Wanderers (or any other team for that matter).  Well, that is one of the perks of serving as the boss, I reckon. You get what you want and things get done...

Progress at your own pace

If you don't see your country there then by all measn contact ISCI immediately and register your side.  National team kits have already been ordered for the above mentioned teams.  We have a call out to all Singaporeans to join the Fandi Ahmads' in creating the Singapore National Team to play in the event.  And we invite the Malaysians to rally for representation as well.
