Edito: St. Valentine's Kisses

Dear All,

Interesting results last week in the league with a DOIT -vs- Mighty Lions thriller at 1-1.  There is no doubt in my mind that the Lions are the most improved club in this league.  While JIS continue to dominate the league this year, the Wanderers cannot give a point away with that kind of pressure.  It will be interesting to see how it all ends up at the end of the year.   What I have noticed is that any team can possibly win any game at any point this season.  The standard has definitely gone up and I hope that this continues to hold true. 

St. Valentine's Kisses:  Two former players from the league will be getting married this Valentine's Day weekend.  Dave Carpenter (formerly of FC D's Place) will be marrying his sweetheart and Lovely Lee Hawkins (of Wanderers fame) will be marrying his.  I haven't been invited to either of the ceremonies (but that's okay.... my feelings aren't hurt).

Announcements:      Bangkok Tournament --- Easter Weekend
                                                      March 26th & 27th, 2005
                                                        11 -a-side Tournament

There is an annual tournament in Bangkok that ISCI has been invited to participate in this year.  The ISCI side needs players to make up the side.  Anybody who is interested needs to let Mike Whibley or myself know immediately so that we can book the team into the tournament.  It will cost $50. USd per player to make up the entrance fee.  We get a good rate on hotels and flights so let us know.  It is not necessary to be a member of ISCI in order to go.  It is open to anybody who wants to have a great weekend of football and fun.  Please contact any of us if you or your buddies are interested ASAP...

 Location: ISCI
 Time: 7:00 PM

MOM: Paddy (Mighty Lions), Fandi (Do It)
  
Fair and open game with both teams coming close to getting the winner. Played at a good pace with very few bad tackles, but still competitive. A great first for Lions ! Not only taking a point from Do It, but matching them all game... Well done lads.

As always fair and enjoyable match against the Dutch. First half match was
fairly even with chances on both sides, 1-0 @ halftime to JIS. In the second
half Knudde were struggling to keep up with the pace of the game...resulting
in a 4-0 final score.

 Date: Saturday, Feb. 5th
 Location: Bandara - Cengkareng
 Time: 3:00 PM

MOM:  Nicolaj Meissner (German Plus),  Dacost (Jakarta X-Pats)

The field was in terrible condition and this made it difficult for both
teams to play football.

 Date: Wednesday, Feb. 2nd

 Time: 8:30 PM

MOM:  Tommy (Wanderers), Martin Irishman  (Vikings)

The game was played on a poor ISCI pitch. Wanderers started well and went 2-0 up pretty early on but went down to 9 men when Manny and myself were yellow-carded & our one sub was injured. Vikings got back into the game with a goal to make it 2-1 but second half saw Wanderers take control of the game with 11 men and got a third to kill the game!!!! Played in good spirits with a couple of minor incidents.

Played in reasonable spirit, one or two minor verbal tussles! Pitch was in
good condition. Referee: 5/10.
