"If you build it, they will come..."

Dear Veterans of the 1st Football Revolution,

Lots of goodies to tell you about today so let’s begin.

Coca-Coca Youth league wraps up for             the  season

See that picture? That’s Stefan Cooper, the captain of the U-11 ESCI team, receiving the 1st annual youth Coca-Cola FA Cup for 2006. ESPN and Football Crazy were at ISCI with a packed house doing the show for all  of the players, parents, coaches, managers, referees and supporters. Club Advisor Greg Long did an excellent job of promoting and setting up the event. Brian Delamore did an excellent job of seeing his concept, the entire league itself, through from start to finish. Marvin, Harry, and I have not enjoyed ourselves more in any season previously with ESE and this time we did it with ESE & ISCI combined. What a bunch of great kids that we coach. And, what superb little footballers they are as well… Both the U-9 and the U-11 have got to be the best two teams in Jakarta in their respective age groups. They are a pleasure to watch every time that they take the field. Really! I am so proud of them. Fortunately for you, you can see some of them playing tomorrow at the Knudde 6’s in the morning.

Knudde 6-a-Side – May 20th – Saturday

The best day of the year for clubs all over Jakarta and surrounding regions is upon us. Tomorrow the event kicks off (no pun intended). Be at Sentul not later than 8:30 AM sharp. Again the Big Bosses of Knudde have planned a smash-up job and Wouter and the MegaWatts will be performing as well.

Bali 6’s – May 26th - Saturday

Next weekend, we are off to Bali en masse to see the Wonderful Wizardry of Canggu Sports Club. The almighty Wanderers are considering defending their 2005 title. I said 'considering'. The Boys of DOIT are also going en masse and the Magnificent Vikings are putting in two teams. As usual, it is going to be fantastical! I am actually going to bring my Mrs. with me. Now, ain’t that funny?

World Cup 6’s is shaping up – June 3rd - Saturday

“If you build it, they will come...”

If you want to get involved in anyway as player, supporter or sponsor then please contact Greg at ISCI by clicking here.
